NPSF RESEARCH PROGRAM OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW
Since 1998, NPSF has supported 28 innovative, investigator-driven grants through $2.8 million in funding. The research program is highly regarded and known for fostering ideas from emerging leaders in the field. The research committee consists of a multi-disciplinary team of distinguished representatives from academia, healthcare institutions, and public and private organizations. Annually they select several grant recipients to be awarded up to $100,000 each.

The National Patient Safety Foundation's Research Grant Program seeks to stimulate new, ground-breaking projects directed toward enhancing patient safety in the United States. Support from organizations such as the American Medical Association, the Commonwealth Fund and the Donaghue Foundation has enabled NPSF to enhance its ability to promote important advances in patient safety. NPSF is looking to expand its partnership base in order to maintain this important program which continues to provide new intelligence and innovation to the field. Corporate Council members have the opportunity to combine resources in support of research grants or specify areas of research through corporate named grants.
