2008 Congress Press Policy

The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) welcomes members of the media to the Annual NPSF Patient Safety Congress.  Thank you for your interest in attending the Congress.  Complimentary press passes are limited, and are granted only to working journalists affiliated with an internationally, nationally or regionally recognized media outlet who intend to cover the event.

Free-lance writers, contributing editors and industry analysts may request press credentials by stating which media outlet they will be representing while covering the event.  Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate requests for credentials from PR firms, advertising or marketing firms, print brokers or sales personnel.  Non-eligible persons should follow the standard registration process.

To request credentials, please submit a business card which includes your name, editorial title, media outlet AND a copy of a bylined article or online publication written by you and published within the last twelve (12) months.  The credentials you submit will be reviewed carefully.  Please submit your credentials to Christy Norcross via facsimile at 704-323-7237 or email cnorcross@npsf.org  If your request for credentials is approved, Christy will contact you via email or phone within one week of receipt of credentials.

Members of the press are admitted to the Congress with a complimentary press pass.  This pass entitles you to entrance to all exhibits, conference sessions and events, refreshments and meals.

We reserve the right to request documentation at any time.  Members of the press will be responsible for their own travel, accommodations and other expenses.  Any videotaping, filming or recording in any manner intended for commercial (non-news) purposes requires prior permission from NPSF.

When writing about the conference, kindly reference the Annual NPSF Patient Safety Congress to enable readers to easily gather more information about this conference. Additionally, NPSF requests copies of all articles written about or from the Congress.
