Ambulatory Stand Up for Patient Safety Program

NPSF’s Ambulatory Stand Up for Patient Safety Program offers targeted materials and resources to assist with patient safety initiatives in the ambulatory setting.  It is designed for ease of use, focused in its presentation, organized around key patient safety competencies and supported by a robust and comprehensive member website for further information and assistance. Program materials include articles, DVDs, customizable brochure templates, online tools and many other resources to help move this work forward in the ambulatory setting. Program membership also includes access to a member-only website with a wealth of supporting information as well as a listserv for dialog and best-practice exchange among members. Continuous updates to the information will ensure that members are kept abreast of the latest developments and tools in the field.

Membership in the Ambulatory Stand Up for Patient Safety Program provides members the information and tools needed to implement and sustain patient safety practices in their environments and reflects a commitment to patient safety that is meaningful to the organization and the patients and families it serves.

Materials will be available through NPSF and also through a new partnership that was announced on October 29, 2007. The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF), the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and AIG Healthcare® announced a new relationship that will bring a comprehensive set of patient safety tools and incentives to medical group practices.
